Leica Q3 Monochrom

This is the monochrome Q3 version of the Leica Q3.  Essentially, this process involves replacing the sensor with one that has the color filter array removed, so each pixel outputs a grayscale value instead of one of red, green, or blue.  This provides a fantastic monochrome resolution that far surpasses anything a Bayer sensor can offer.

I wouldn't expect many changes to this camera from Q3 onwards.  This camera is expected to be announced around October 16th.

Leica M EV1

This one is interesting, as it seems that Leica is adding an EVF to the M lineup, after having only optical rangefinder viewfinders in the past.  According to rumors, a hybrid electronic/optical viewfinder, similar to the one Fujifilm uses, will not be used.  Just EVF.  This is quite the change from the past, so it will be interesting to see how well it's received.

This camera is expected to be announced around October 23rd.
