The current rumors suggest that Fujifilm will release two new products soon: the updated X-T30 III and a new kit lens, Fujinon XC13-33mm F3.5-6.3.

The X-T30 III

This camera should be a slight upgrade from the X-T30 II, which had the following top features;

  • 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor
  • X-Processor 4 with Quad CPU
  • DCI and UHD 4K30 Video; F-Log Gamma
  • 2.36m-Dot OLED Electronic Viewfinder
  • 3.0" 1.04m-Dot Tilting LCD Touchscreen
  • 425-Point Phase-Detection Autofocus
  • Extended ISO 80-51200, 30 fps Shooting
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi; Sports Finder Mode

The current rumors are about a new generation of processor, but tout the same sensor as the X-T30 II.  This aligns with what Fujifilm typically does with its releases; if it's a "mark" subversion, the changes are usually slighter than an entirely new numerical designation of the camera.  An upgraded processor, however, would allow for increased film simulations and improved autofocus.  I would also expect improved video features.

The Fujinon XC13-33mm f/3.5-6.3

This lens is a new kit lens, and perhaps an upgrade from the older Fujinon XC15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ.  According to reports, no one really liked the power zoom features of the older kit lens, and those are being dropped in this newer one.  The new lens will start at 13mm (20mm effective focal length), which is very impressive, and I'd certainly jump all over this as a starting kit lens focal length.  If this is a compact and decent optical kit lens, I predict it will be very welcomed in the Fuji community.

We are certainly going to hear more soon!
