The RICOH GR IV Monochrome has been launched with a specialized 25.7MP APS-C sensor designed specifically for high-precision monochrome photography. With a Bayer color filter removed, it provides a much higher level of tonal gradation and resolution than digital monochrome models. It comes with an in-built red filter, a high-speed electronic shutter of 1/16,000s, and an impressive ISO of 409,600. To be launched in mid-February 2026 at a price of $2,199.95, it provides a high-end compact option for monochrome photography without having to invest in a full-frame system.
