The Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Digital Camera responds rather fast for such an ultra-compact model. With a startup-time-to-first-shot of 1.4 seconds, shutter lag at 0.5 second and shutter lag in dim conditions of 0.7 second, the camera is rather fast. It has shot-to-shot time of 2.1 seconds without flash and 3.2 seconds with flash continuous shooting is well while burst style takes scenes at 1.4fps. Image quality is really superb with lush and vibrant colors and good exposure, but for better results try to stay at ISO 200. General, the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS is a good 10MP ultra-compact point-and-shoot in terms of usability and approximately guarantees great quality images.

With an option between silver, dark gray, green, orange, blue and pink the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS should collection to anybody. Measuring in at 3.5 inches by 2.2 inches high and 0.9 inch deep this 10MP ultra-compact is small, thin but comfortable to grip. Featuring a mode switch, a play button, a directional pad and Function Set button, the controls are easy to access. The shutter button has a zoom ring next to the power button with most of the buttons being rather flat, making them ideal for slim fingers. At a mere 4.9 ounces the camera weighs almost nothing at all with a 2.5 inch LCD viewfinder.

Powered by a 10MP 1/2.3 inch CCD sensor the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS offers a 3x optical zoom lens at f2.8-4.9 and 35mm equivalent. The camera itself takes up to 3648×2736 resolution JPEG still images and up to 640×480 at 30fps motion JPEG movies. With both mechanical and digital image stabilization the camera takes fairly steady shots. Equipped with a Li-ion rechargeable battery, the camera is rated for 260 shots on a single charge.

Menu navigation for the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS is easy and straightforward with a basic but well rounded array of characteristics. This includes ISO sensitivity up to 1600, White Balance, Focus, Metering and Color effects. Canon’s Smart Auto mode is great mostly.

Canon and Nikon are two of the most popular digital camera manufacturers on the world. Of course, we can just choose one of the digital camera manufacturers and select either a canon digital camera or a Nikon digital camera. Don’t we find difficulties if we are offered a lot of choices, especially if they have many similarities? For example, choosing canon digital cameras can be confusing because we may consider that our choices are all good. However, a simple thing can help us.

Canon eos 50d is a digital single-lens reflex camera. It can be considered as a new digital camera in that the digital camera was released in 2008. It has a 15.1 megapixel resolution. The digital camera has a APS-C CMOS sensor like canon-eos-40d. Canon eos 50d is the successor of canon-eos-40d. The two digital cameras have similar characteristics. Yet, the successor, of course, is better in some ways. This seemingly simple difference make the digital camera have more improvements.

Of course, a successor must have improvements to differ it from its predecessor. We know that the resolution of a digital camera can be one thing that we should considered first.

Canon is one of the most popular digital camera manufacturers on the world. Of course, we can just choose the digital camera manufacturer and select canon digital cameras. Digital cameras usually have similar features to both their predecessors and their successors. Their similarities can make us confused in choosing one of them. It is even if we choose digital cameras of a popular digital camera manufacturer like Canon.

Canon eos 40d is a semi professional digital single lens reflex camera. It was released in 2007, three years ago. Its predecessor is canon-eos-30d and its successor is canon eos 50d. The three digital cameras do not differ much from each other. They have a APS-C CMOS sensor. One of what differ them is their resolutions: canon eos 30d has a lower resolution than that of canon-eos-40d which has a lower resolution than that of canon eos 50d.

Canon eos 40d, one of our options, is a semi professional digital single lens reflex camera. It was introduced in 2007. It has a 10.1 megapixel resolution. Canon eos 40d was the successor of canon eos 30d. However, the digital camera was succeeded by canon eos 50d. Like canon eos 30d the digital camera uses an APS-C sized image sensor and the digital camera is also like its successor.

We know that three digital cameras are not different much. Thus, we can find difficulty in choosing one of them. The difference in resolutions makes them different in other ways.

The Canon EOS-1D was introduced last year, it was the earliest professional digital SLR since the EOS-D2000 which was a collaboration with Kodak. The EOS-1Ds covers almost each other type of photography, from landscape to portrait, photo journalism to weddings. This camera body is based around the EOS-1V professional film SLR. The base of the camera include the large battery pack and allows for the integration of a vertical (portrait) hand grip and control system. Build quality is excellent, the entire body moulded from magnesium alloy with environmental seals around every compartment door, terminal, connector and button.

The images from the camera right out of the box are spectacular. Even leaving the Canon EOS-1D on the default Color Matrix 1 and just firing away yielded brilliant colors and superb detail. Canon should be commended for optimizing the “out of box” skill so photographers can pick up their camera, shoot with it, and create good images without changing any settings on the camera or further processing the images on their computer. To get color as good from my D1X or D1H I need to use a custom profile or a color managed workflow.

Otherwise anyone shooting people with the camera will probably want to invest in a custom profile to correct this condition. The Canon EOS-1D has the usual set of white balance presets, but also includes an option for dialing in your favorite 3 white balance settings or reading the white balance from a gray card or another image.

The Digital Rebel T1i is the latest DSLR from Canon’s. While retaining many uniqueness of the Digital Rebel series, such as a slighter viewfinder, a single LCD and no rear QCD (Quick Control Dial), this camera incorporates a figure of features also found on the new EOS 5D MkII and EOS 50D DSLRs. The Digital Rebel T1i also now incorporates an HD video mode like the 5D MkII, while at 1080p it’s only 20 frames per second (fps) vs. 30 fps for the 5D MkII.

The Digital Rebel T1i uses a Canon Digiv IV processor and incorporates peripheral illumination correction, high ISO noise reduction and auto lighting optimization with expanding the ISO range to cover 100-3200 (native), plus ISO 6400 (H1) and ISO 12800 (H2) as expanded range settings. Overall, the T1i looks like a strong contender in the entry level DSLR market.

The DIGIC 4 processor and large 15.1-megapixel image sensor workings in unison to make the camera fast for processing, especially at extreme sensitivities to light. The faster the lens, the better it will be in light, but using a slower lens that loses a few stops of light can show to be disastrous in little available light. The Standard setting reproduces color faithfully, presenting a wide gamut and great accuracy. The default exposure method is evaluative metering, and constantly worked as the best method for most shooting scenarios, but had a slight tendency to overexpose for bright light sources or scenes with unusual contrast.

The Digital Rebel T1i’s video capture mode is about exactly the same as the 5D Mark II, short of 10 extra frames per second at 1080p made possible by the 5D’s beefier processing power. You do notice the lower framerate at 1080p, especially if you’re panning a shot, but for slow-moving subjects, it’s not significantly jerky. Some people may even prefer the ability to switch-up frame rates.

But aside from that, everything else from the 5D Mark II is there: the ability to capture stills while video is rolling, the same slow AF system, etc.

Clearly, the most nice-looking feature on the Canon Powershot SD430 is its built-in 802.11b wireless transmitter. Canon’s RemoteCapture software let you to control the camera right from your Personal Computer. In addition, the supplied Wireless Printer Adapter connects into any PictBridge-enabled photo printer. The Canon Powershot SD430 also features Canon’s exclusive Intelligent Orientation Sensor/9-point AiAF auto focus system that let the camera to automatically detect vertical or horizontal direction and correctly detect and focus on subjects within the 9-point focusing frame.

This camera prints pictures wirelessly and simply on many different brands of PictBridge printers such as Kodak’s EasyShare printer dock plus series 3. With the Canon SD430 you don’t need a configuration to print. It’s already preconfigured to recognize the print adapter built-in with the camera.
Using the IEEE802.11b Wi-Fi standard, the SD430 digital camera can transmit a 5.0 megapixel image file to a compatible Canon SELPHY or PIXMA Photo Printer at high speed in approximately six seconds. With wireless direct printing using the SD430 digital camera, consumers are freed from the trouble of connecting their camera to a printer with a USB cable each time they want to print.

Like all PowerShot digital cameras, the SD430 works seamlessly with Canon’s petite SELPHY Compact Photo Printers – an essential PowerShot accessory. Consumers connect their PowerShot digital camera to a SELPHY printer – such as the new SELPHY CP510, CP710 and CP600 models – press the lighted Print/Share button, and within seconds Print speed based on average output speed achieved during product testing with DIGIC II processor embedded Canon PowerShot digital cameras.
